Full CARB Truck Permits vs 5-Day Pass: What to Choose
A 5-day pass covers a fixed consecutive period. Full CARB truck permits and credentials are for carriers that enter California often or must enroll in ongoing programs (truck and bus, Clean Truck Check, TRU, etc.).
Choose a 5-day pass if: you have infrequent loads, a tight schedule, and confirmed short-term eligibility.
Choose full permits if: you book California freight weekly, operate multiple units, or CARB has flagged your fleet for program enrollment.
